Music video budgets in Egypt have always been opaque, but the briefs that come through LConnect's casting feed give us a useful window.

Mahragan releases this year are running smaller, faster shoots — typically one location, no crew above two units, and total spends in the low five figures USD-equivalent.

Indie pop releases are the opposite: longer prep, multi-location shoots and budgets that frequently match what was reserved for film commercials in 2024.

Label releases sit somewhere in between. The interesting development is co-financing with brand partners — a route that didn't exist in Egypt three years ago and now accounts for nearly a third of the briefs we see.
