Terms of service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding contract between you and LConnect for Information Technology, an Egyptian company headquartered in Cairo (referred to here as "LConnect", "we", or "us"). By creating an account, downloading the LConnect mobile app, or using the website at lconnectapp.com (together, the "Platform"), you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Platform.

To use the Platform you must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or be using the Platform under the supervision and with the documented consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Egyptian Civil Code provisions.
• Not be barred from using the Platform under any applicable Egyptian or international law (including sanctions regimes).

Business accounts must additionally hold a valid Egyptian commercial registry entry or its foreign equivalent, and may be required to provide tax cards or authorisation documents during verification.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information on registration and during verification.
• Keeping your login credentials confidential. Any activity under your account is presumed to be yours unless we are notified otherwise without delay.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at support@lconnectapp.com.

We may suspend or close any account where verification fails, where information turns out to be false or misleading, or where there is a reasonable suspicion of fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.

You retain ownership of all content you upload — profile photos, video reels, audio samples, project descriptions, comments ("Your Content").

To operate the Platform, you grant LConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (technical adaptations only — format, resolution, thumbnails), publish, publicly display, and distribute Your Content within the Platform and in marketing materials about the Platform itself. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required by law (see the Privacy Policy).

You confirm that you own Your Content or have obtained the necessary rights and consents (including appearance releases for any identifiable third parties shown in your media) to grant this licence and to publish it on the Platform.

You may not, and you may not enable any third party to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any Egyptian law including the Anti-Cybercrime Law (175/2018), the Penal Code, the Consumer Protection Law (181/2018), or the Personal Data Protection Law (151/2020).
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or that infringes the rights (including IP and image rights) of others.
• Misrepresent your identity, role, qualifications, or affiliations.
• Solicit minors, or post content involving minors without verifiable guardian consent.
• Attempt to circumvent the Platform's payment, verification, or fee systems — including by moving an introduced relationship off-platform to avoid Platform fees.
• Interfere with the Platform's security or integrity (scanning, brute forcing, injecting code, scraping at scale, removing or obscuring proprietary notices).
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Platform beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt.

We may remove content and suspend accounts at our reasonable discretion to enforce these rules. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to the competent Egyptian authorities.

The Platform enables direct contractual relationships between users — talent and businesses, studios and renters, locations and crews. LConnect is the facilitator and not a party to those user-to-user contracts, except where we provide a managed service (e.g. acting as paying agent for a B2B booking).

Pricing

All prices on the Platform are in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) unless stated otherwise, and include applicable VAT where required. Studio and location rates are set by the operator; LConnect's service fee is shown before you confirm a booking.

Payment

Payments are processed by our payment partner (Paymob) and other licensed providers. By making a payment you authorise the charge to the selected method. Card data is never stored on LConnect's servers.

Refunds and cancellations

Studio and location bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked slot, unless the operator has set different terms shown at checkout. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the booking fee. Refunds for eligible cancellations are returned to the original payment method within 14 days.

Talent payouts

Talent are paid in EGP via bank transfer or licensed wallet within 14 days after the receiving business confirms delivery. LConnect deducts its service fee and any applicable withholding tax before payout.

The Platform itself — software, source code, design system, brand marks (including the "LConnect" word mark and logo), copy, and database structure — is the exclusive property of LConnect or its licensors and is protected under Egyptian Law 82/2002 on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights. Except for the limited, revocable licence to use the Platform under these Terms, no rights are granted to you over LConnect's IP.

The Platform integrates third-party services (payment processors, mapping, push notifications, app stores). Their terms apply when you use those services through the Platform:

• Apple App Store — when you download or use the iOS app, you also accept Apple's standard end-user licence (App Store Schedule 1) and its Media Services Terms. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to the iOS app and may enforce them against you.
• Google Play — for Android, the Google Play Terms apply in addition to ours.
• Paymob — payments are subject to Paymob's terms and to the rules of the card networks involved.

We are not responsible for third-party services' acts or omissions, and they are not our agents.

Your personal data is processed under our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains your rights under the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (151/2020) and how to exercise them.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, LConnect makes no implied warranties about uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of user-generated content.

We do not control, endorse, or guarantee the conduct of users or the quality of any service booked through the Platform. Disputes between users about performance of bookings should be resolved between the parties; we may, at our discretion, mediate or assist by sharing booking records.

To the extent permitted by Egyptian law, LConnect's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Platform is limited to the higher of (a) the fees you paid LConnect in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EGP 5,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Egyptian law.

You agree to indemnify and hold LConnect, its officers, employees, and contractors harmless from any third-party claims, damages, costs, and reasonable lawyer fees arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Platform, or (c) infringement by Your Content of any third-party right. We will notify you of any such claim and let you control the defence with our reasonable cooperation, provided no settlement that admits fault on our behalf is made without our prior written consent.

You can stop using the Platform at any time and delete your account from the app or by emailing privacy@lconnectapp.com.

We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, where you materially breach these Terms or where we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — IP, indemnity, liability, governing law — survive termination.

We may update these Terms when the Platform changes or when the law requires. We give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email and via an in-app banner. Continued use of the Platform after the change date is taken as acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account.

Neither party is liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control — including natural disasters, government actions, war, terrorism, civil unrest, internet or power outages, or pandemics — provided the affected party notifies the other promptly and resumes performance as soon as the event ends.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform that cannot be settled amicably within 30 days is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Cairo Economic Court, which has competence over IT and e-commerce disputes under Law 120/2008 on the establishment of Economic Courts.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief from any competent court.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any operator-specific terms shown at booking, form the entire agreement between you and LConnect regarding the Platform.

You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or to an acquirer.
